This is a process called Ticking which is used in editorial design. The purpose is to determine the "weight" of copy in your layout and to help you to plan things better so the overall design looks appealing.
This is a second stage scamp where I received some constructive feedback. I'll upload the finished product when its done.
Almost done, just got to make a colour copy, tipex out any lines from the stripping, copy again and mount.
Job done.
